The United Nations filed a formal complaint with Iran after they shot down what they claim was an unarmed AH64 observing the on-going conflict around Bandar Abbas for violations of the rules of war.

Iran, however, disputes these claims, pointing to the fact that at the time of the alleged shooting, they had lost several tanks and AAA units from what was clearly an AH-64, and that they have more than a hundred witnesses of said aircraft launching on their equipment.
