Standard Operating Procedures - Non Combat
Pre-Flight-01/Before Opening DCS
The following steps are those expected to be done by all members prior to starting DCS World for a flight. They allow for all users to be on the same page and reduce any issues prior to a mission day/night.
Pre-Flight-02/Mission Prep
The following are standard operating procedures designed to speed up mission time, they apply mainly for nights when structures missions are taking place.
Flight-01/Start Up & Taxi
TGW operates with a general SOP for the Start Up, Taxi and hold process, this allows for rapid deployment when operating as a group, however given DCS allows for HOT/COLD ARMED/UNARMED states this SOP tries to take that into account. If respawning during a missionFollow the SOP unless briefed different.
Flight-02/Line Up-Take Off-Rejoin (Land)
The following SOPs are those which are most often used by TGW. Line up, Left Flight Line up, Right Element Line up. Amendments/SupA-10C and other ‘Slow’ Aircraft. When flying the A-10C or any other aircraft with slow KIAS some changes are required to the SOP take off items. Make the following changes. Section 2,3 & […]
Flight-03/Formation
Formation flights are always either 1 or 2 element flights. Flight lead is responsible for all communications with outside agencies, navigation and other ‘high’ level items. If Flight Lead is shot down and the formation is a 2 element (3 or 4 ship) flight then Element 2’s flight lead (Aircraft #3) becomes the formations flight [...]Flight-04/Tanking
Tanking or Air to Air refuelling sometimes called a ‘controlled mid air’ is both an operational necessity for the modern fighter, but also one of the hardest tasks a pilot will ever face, made even worse in the virtual one by some aspects and easier in others. The following S.O.P is actually more of a […]
Flight-05/Landing
This set of SOP’s handles our basic Approach and Landing, individual aircraft will have their own terms/speeds and positions for things like the overhead break. As such this is a set of GUIDELINES not RULES. Combat flights will ALWAYS use what is given BY ATC if on or Quickest Method to land.
2022 TGW FIGHTER SOPS (LAND BASED) IN DCS 2.9+
1. INTRODUCTION These procedures are loosely based on Australian Fast Jet operations circa 2010. TGW Carrier operations are detailed elsewhere. So why does TGW have Fighter Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)? The primary reason for implementing TGW SOPs is to enhance the immersion of operating in DCS World, which is in turn designed to enhance the […]
SOP/Carrier/Fixed Wing.
The following is the Task Group Warrior standard operating procedures for Carrier operations; These operations replace the Prestart, Taxi, Take Off, RV, Landing sections of the TGW fixed wing land S.O.P’s. If an item is not referenced in this document it maintains the same Standard Operating Procedure as those for Land based aircraft. List of […]
BMS.SOP1 – BMS Protocols
Ok so you want to join and use our BMS server? Great. There’s a few things you should be aware of when it comes to flying on our Falcon BMS server.
Standard Operating Procedures - Combat
C.SOP-TGW-F/A18-AL1. Hornet Toss Bombing.
Please Download the PDF here: INTRODUCTION The toss bomb delivery is initially complex to achieve due to high pilot workload, but it is worthpracticing to proficiency as it has many advantages. The main advantage of the toss bomb is that itminimises exposure of the striker to enemy air defences by ensuring some stand-off from the […]

C.SOP/Standard Brevity
TGW uses a ‘hybrid’ mix of Brevity as it’s standard system of short hand rather then a single source, though most of it is based on the NATO standards. To keep every one on at least roughly the same page this shortened version of our brevity is given and should be used unless specified otherwise.
